The Richwood, WV Cherry River Festival and the Richwood High School Alumni Association joined forces to hold a dance during the Cherry River Festival on the weekend of the 1960’s class reunion, August 13, 2005. We were fortunate in our choice of a band. Frankie Faucet and the Drips exceeded our wildest expectations as far as dancing and entertainment. Richwood is a dancing town but we have never seen the dance floor so crowded for so long with dancers as they were that Saturday night.
The age group ranged from the Class of 1955, all of the 60’s and college freshmen through seniors. Most of these age groups were represented in the interaction between Frankie Faucet and the Drips and the dancers during the Hula Hoop contest and the Air Guitar contest.
More than once Saturday night I was taken back to my 57 Chevy and my younger days attending teen dances. We are trying to figure out an occasion to have them back again next year and I’m sure we will.

My wife and I cruised with Frankie Faucet and the Drips three times on various Caribbean cruises and fell in love with these guys. They were the main reason we re-booked the cruises each time. They are a great band and we had so much fun when they performed. We ended up dancing until I thought our legs would fall off. We hope that they will continue to perform on Oldies theme cruises and you can be sure we will be there.
